RoderrickHaigPond

It's June, the spring melts flood these ponds and the cotton from the trees floats by on its way to the Adams River nearby. The fingerlings are leaving. They must be big and fat from the large amounts of mosquito larvae __if the number of mosquitoes that swarmed around me were any indication of plentiful food supply.

I can introduce you to mule deer mosquitoes and stinky dead salmon by the dozens...just bring kleenex and blood and I'll take you on a walk-a-bout. Next big Salmon Run is 2006...if the Alaska Fishing fleet aren't too greedy, that is.
