The first morning after June solstice

Nyon - Vaud (Switzerland)

The first one to wake up, in the first morning of summer was the sun.
There were, of course, those who had not gone to sleep yet,
there were fishermen who had left from the port
when the purple veils of night were still hanging on the sky.
But the first one to get up at the very beginning of morning was the sun,
of course without him there would not have been any morning,
so it was not such a big effort, if he had wanted to get up later, the world would have been obliged to wait for him, as the honour guest, without whom the party cannot start.
In spite of that, the sun had carefully set his alarm-clock
and he got up from his bed as early as never before during all the year.
I was a little late.
But I was not sure to have any personal meeting with him.
When I arrived he was waving gently from East.
So I supposed that, after all, he was glad to see me.
“You’ll be very hot later, I’m afraid”
“Obviously, it’s my job”
“But maybe you could try to make an effort to be more delicate and milder ...”
“It’s what I’m doing right now in Argentina; there is a time and a place for everything”
“Oh my, a philosophical sun, you make already me perspire!”
***
But the burning guy is pleasant very early in the morning, when he has not to impress crowds of holiday makers.
Let’s wait and see what will be during the next two months.
