Often we see, not only necessarily in a picture, appearances filtered through our own mood and sensitiveness of the moment.
We see what we want to see, not what it really is.
This little boy on his own, sitting on the pavement might look like an icon of loneliness…In reality the photo shows a very strong-tempered, independent your gentleman, who voluntarily chooses to stay aside and let people go…
His mother, who is a couple of meters away, in the noisy crowd of a street market, is calling him:
“Come here, what are you doing there on your own? Come to see the nice coloured things on the stalls”
And the little boy, all concentrated in his thoughts, doesn’t lift his head up either and simply tells her, with a determined little voice:
“No, I won’t. I’m happy here”
