The Piazza del Duomo ("Cathedral Square") is a wide, walled area,recognized as one of the main centres for medieval art in the world.It's partly paved and partly grassed.
It is dominated by four great religious edifices: the Duomo, the Campanile( the bell tower, which is the world famous leaning tower, of course), the Baptistry and the Camposanto(Monumental Cemetery) .

Just a bit too crowded for my solitary tastes...Then it was also such a warm day.
We decided to leave soon.
Ah, by the way you might wonder where the leaning tower is...
