Monsieur Cosandier, the flower vendor...

Prangins - Vaud (Switzerland)

Monsieur Cosandier is a very interesting character, a very kind person as well.
He’s not only a flower vendor (actually he is in this business only on Sunday, in the small village of Prangins), he’s also a fisherman.

But he has two amazing peculiarities. I know you won’t believe me; I would not believe myself if I didn’t know personally Monsieur Cosandier…

But it’s absolutely the truth: Monsieur Cosandier never cuts his hair, it remains like that, the way you see it in this photo, it never grows, but it’s his real hair.

And last but not least, Monsieur Cosandier is dressed the same way in all seasons of the year, it doesn’t matter the temperature, always jeans and a shirt made of denim.
The only difference is that in winter his shirt has long sleeves and in summer he wears shorts of jeans instead of long trousers.

Once we saw him wearing a light jacket, it was really extremely cold, all was frozen around and Monsieur Cosandier had just a light coat, open on his shirt.
He stopped us in the street and he started chatting, after a few minutes we were frozen, in spite of our winter clothes, scarves and so on, he looked perfectly at ease…

What an interesting and enjoyable story about Monsieur Cosandier. Those roses are so beautiful and colourful as are his salad vegetables, Marisa...VVV

Very nice picture Marisa. Interesting about his hair. When I left the military over 20 years ago, I stopped cutting my hair. It took almost a year to reach my shoulders but has not grown a centimeter since. I don't cut it - it just doesn't grow beyond that length. Glad to hear that I am not the only one.

A very interesting man indeed. What lovely flowers too. I would find it hard to pass by his stall.
