There is a lady who loves cacti…

Prangins - Vaud (Switzerland)

Prangins is a village I have a special liking for.
In my humble opinion the baker of Pranging is a master, the best bread of the region for sure and then there is the grocer, with smiling eyes under his brown curls, who can choose the best vegetables for his shop with tender accuracy…but this, is another story
Prangins is an adorable village
In Prangins there is also the house of the lady who loves cacti.
Honestly I have never seen her, but I see her cacti, which appear and disappear according to the times of the year, ready to invade triumphantly the entire sidewalk in the heart of summer.
It’s a sign of the changes of seasons
–Here are the cacti, spring has come-
-The cacti have been taken indoors, it’s late autumn-

All the photos of this series, which should be considered a homogenous work, compose a visual description of my very personal idea of summer. Each photo is posted on the same day it’s taken, they have all square format.
You might see also the others, if you have time.

How beautiful. Who needs a yard with soil to create a garden? V

Love it, Marisa! It seems very cosy for sure! The pic is fabulous, love the colors and mood. Love the small details.

One of the panes has a light visible through ti, and with the other reflections, gives me the uncanny impression of an eye looking back out of the window. I like multi-paned windows - don't know why.
I also love cacti, and I love houses which make use of the small spaces they have to create a garden display. The first time I met my future mother-in-law, I bemused her with my excited attention to some cactus seedlings I was sprouting on my window-ledge.
