On Saturday morning the street market is like a magic kingdom one is never tired to explore.
The young man arrives with his van, which is a real mobile shop, and brings always different artisanal products.
The young man speaks French, Portuguese and Italian and he’s a living example of a successful cultural melting pot.
He’s a cheese maker by profession, but he sells also imported cheeses, mostly Italian, besides the ones he makes by himself.
Then he has a broad choice of home-made pasta, ravioli, tortellini and other delicacies.
The amusing thing is that one never knows what he will offer from Saturday to Saturday;
there is always something new, a few unexpected specialities to taste.
I hope to never see the disappearance of these little independent vendors, with their approximation and their fancy, their personal relationship with the clients and their passion for their work.
Even the best chain of supermarkets will never been able to offer what they do.
The human factor.
All the photos of this series, which should be considered a homogenous work, compose a visual description of my very personal idea of summer. Each photo is posted on the same day it’s taken, they have all square format.
You might see also the others, if you have time.
