Why in the world one should go to an Irish Pub in La Rochelle?

La Rochelle (France)

Another wink of complicity to my friend Máire.
Then a justification note.
Maybe the two or three people who follow my galleries rather regularly (I take this opportunity to thank them) know by know that I travel usually in company of my best friend, Sergey, who is Siberian.

It’s still nearly impossible for a Russian private citizen to get an individual visa for UK and Ireland, so my friend, even though he’s professor of English, has never had any chance to go to these countries.

While we were in La Rochelle he expressed the wish to spend a little time in an Irish pub, even though in French territory, since it was his only opportunity.
For this reason we had a beer here and we sent a text message to Máire from this place.

This is all.

A little story of no importance....

:) Yet another Irish pub in a European city. They probably serve lots of Guinness and Irish stew. I think I might've had one of their Irish coffees!

Love the story Marisa! This is a VERY French scene that I know and love dearly. :)

A superb shot with great clarity Marisa. All you needed to create an Irish atmosphere would be lots of rain! I must try to look this one up when I am in the area in October.

Well, the 5 guys in the back appear to be drinking Guinness - just sayin'
