The island is called - Ile de Ré -
we came here by bus since it’s linked to the mainland by a bridge, over three kilometres long.
There are ten little villages in the island and we could not visit all of them, so we tried to make a choice.
Here we are in a village called “ La Flotte”,
which is a funny name in French, since it might mean “fleet” but also “ water” or “rain”.
Anyhow, at least today, we can forget the meaning “rain” since it’s such a bright day that it look nearly unreal.
I regret to have not sun glasses, the village is...dazzling.
Let’s give a look around!
