Les Calanques....

Marseille (France)

A calanque (from the Corsican word of preindoeuropean origin "calanca" with meaning "inlet")
is a geologic formation in the form of a deep valley with steep sides,
typically of limestone, in part submerged by the sea.
It can be considered a Mediterranean fjord.

You have a great collection of v-shapes in this composition: from the overall horizontal placing of the landmass to the vertical and oblique v's contained therein. The clarity of the smooth blue sky and contrasting choppiness of the azure water provide a fine internal framing mechanism for the calanques. And now here is another V to add to them all!
