Black is black, isn't it?

Nyon (Switzerland)

Sometimes a common day in a life might look dull and monochromatic, as if only colours could be the enhancing features of what we would control from inside, instead, that is our approach to what surrounds us.
A crow on a grey roof in a cloudy day appears monochromatic, while in reality it’s full of delicate nuances of many colours, simply not necessarily bright and in contrast which each other.
Crows are my favourite birds; someone considers it as another of my slightly bizarre tastes.
“They don’t sing, they cry, they eat carrions...”
Well if we want to be polemical we might say that also stray dogs do the same.
So I feel quite free to like crows, who give me good mood with their squeaks and screams, who are so shining black and apparently more intelligent than many other birds.
Just an insignificant, visual little tribute to one my flying summer companions who are waiting for September, as well.

Pretty nice shot, gives a kind of drama just because the brid is standing at the edge... voted!

Yes, they are handsome birds, and this little friend looks almost cuddly! Charming words and a nice shot.

His feathers are ruffled as if something has caught his attention. Here is a picture of a distant Irish cousin of his who is expressing his feelings about something!http://www.pbase.com/maire/image/87633199
