We are all « exotic » for all the people who are not familiar with our culture.
Swiss people might look with fascinated astonishment at pictures,
which show colourful street markets of Peru or India...

”Oh how exotic! How amazing! Much more interesting than our cows, our cheese stalls..."

So I hesitated before deciding to post this quite unpretentious series of photos
taken in a local fair, actually held in front of my home.
It’s just the visual record of a very local event, with all its a little provincial charm.

Then I suddenly thought that probably it would have looked rather exotic to a Peruvian or an Indian,
who had never visited this small part of Switzerland called Canton Vaud.

So here it is....

Just in case any of you would like to know some details about this local fair,
I’ll try to give an idea of its spirit also with captions, for every picture.
