The Park of Grazzano Visconti Castle (North Italy, Piacenza province) was established at the beginning of the 20th century, commissioned by Duke Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone.
Lebanese cedars, plane trees, bamboos, boxes, yews and many other century-old trees stand out in this 150,000 square meter park, which turned the Duke’s creative dreams into reality.
The maze, statues, fountains and other elements of the classical garden make it a little gem worth discovering.
It is worth remembering that Luchino Visconti, the famous cinema director (son of the Duke of Modrone), spent his childhood here.
Long-eared owls, little owls, green woodpeckers, great spotted woodpeckers, foxes, squirrels, nuthatches, jackdaws and many other animals, which live here in complete freedom, animate our guided tour.
Visitors will become familiar with the tracks, sounds, nests and calls of nature in this beautiful park which belongs to the prestigious association Grandi Giardini Italiani.
