Maplewood Education Services was the coordinator of the Chinglin peer-to-peer English tutoring program for students in summer, 2006. Volunteer students from international and local English-medium-of-instruction schools volunteered to provide conversational English and reading/writing workshops to fellow students attending Fukien Middle School (North Point), a local Chinese-medium-of-instruction secondary school in Hong Kong. The program also provided an opportunity for student tutors to participate proactively in a meaningful community service close at home.
