Note, Highly variable species. Generally solitary uniquely shaped (oak like) basal leave with deep lobes. While flower with 8-24 petals with numerous yellow-gold stamens.
Very ephemeral (short lasting: <7 days) Closes at night. Blooms in the early spring.
