Common Names: Seep Monkeyflower, Common Western Monkeyflower

There is some controversy on what this flower is. Turner and Gustafson use it as their example of Mimulus guttatus, as do others. Other than the early bloom time the description given by H&C is not really sufficient.

Note less robust, without stolons, smaller leaves < 2 cm, often flowers early.
