Lithophragma parviflorum

var. parviflorum
Common name: Smallflower Woodland Star, Prairie Star

USDA lists 2 varieties, while Hitchcock & Cronquist show none.
var. parviflorum: found throughout the West and in WA state, Turner & Gustafson state it has pink flowers and is fragrant.
var. trifoliatum found only in California.



Note the hairy lower stem and basal leaves which are more lobed than L. tenellum. Petal color ranges from all white, tinged (veined) with pink to all pink.
