having watched the squall line advance and noticed
the large clouds forming directly below us, and then
bolts of lightning at eye level to the west we decided
to move off the glacier and sit it out. We placed our
ice axes away from us and sat out a 20 minute lightning/thunder/hail
storm where the time between lighting and thunder was 2 - 3 secs.
You could see the lighting directly above us arcing every 30 - 60 secs.
