Ranunculus occidentalis (albiflora form)

Mima Mounds Natural Area Preserve, Thurston County view map

aka: Western Buttercup

Presumably the albino form results from a mutation in the
developmental pathway for corolla color.

from David Giblin, Ph.D.

To be a true albino, the entire plant must be devoid of all pigment.
These plants die before flowering.
