If a girl can’t have too many diamonds, a gardener can’t have
too many of this plant. Smaller in stature than C. hederifolium,
this winter bloomer is a good antidote to the short days and gloom
that occur in the Pacific NW. While there are white flowered forms,
we prefer the intense jewel like tones, as they stand out in the landscape.
The foliage emerges in autumn and will die down by mid to late spring.
Best to not interplant with robust growing neighbors, since they will swamp this plant.
