var. albifrons: (White waterleaf) long tapered leaves with pointed tips (4-8) teeth per edge.
var. fendleri: (Fendler's waterleaf)
Note: Flowers are under the lobed, toothed leaves (H. tenuipes flowers are above the leaves)
