WA varieties:
var. achillaeoides: Common Woolly Sunflower, leaves are like Yarrow, pinnated with triangular teeth. Found only on WA outer coast.
var. integrifolium: Common Woolly Sunflower; leaves are entire to lobed at outer end. Found mostly e. WA.
var. lanatum: Common Woolly Sunflower; outer half of leaf is lobed. Found e WA.
var. leucophyllum: Common Woolly Sunflower; Pinnatedly lobed opposite leaves. Found OR, WA, BC
Note: Small bush (low growing), single flower head per erect stalk. 8-13 yellow ray flowers, many disk flowers. Leaves are pinnated divided or entire, lobed on outer (distal) half.
