Common names: Oneseed Pussypaws, Pussypaws
(syn. Calyptridium umbellatum, Spraguea umbellata)
There are 2 varieties: (forms large mats (up to 1.5 dm)
var. caudicifera: leaves mostly < 15mm, often rounded, mostly e side of Cascades
var. umbellata: leaves mostly > 15mm, often obtuse to acute, occasionally in Cascades, mostly e to Montana.
