I was in Jordan back in the 1980's. The most incredible was Petra, Sea of Aqaba, and the Dead Sea. I remember this valley outside of Amman where they grew huge fruits and vegetables. Bomali, a big grapefruit was delicious. I will never forget it. Maybe someday I will be able to visit again.

Amman is my favorite city in the whole Middle East. I love the many hills in Amman, including Jabal Loueibda, where I usually stay. It is very cheap in Amman, and it is fairly clean compared to other cities in the Middle East. It is my annual hangout, and I try to go there every year. Love the sweets and pastries at Jabry especially! I always bring back a checkered red and white "hatta" with me every time I visit.

Donna Perkins 30-Apr-2007 00:51

Hey guys, love the pictures. They all remind me of the frequent summer trips I take there. I went in the summer of 1999, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 and now I'm reconsidering taking my sixth trip in the summer of 2007! I mean Jordan is awesome. Coming from an American mother and Jordanian father, I cannot believe how much I've fallen in love with this beautiful country. i love the picture of Mecca Mall and let me just tell you that Mecca Mall is the best. Apart from Cleveland Ohio, amman jordan is like a second home in the summer months. And the best part?, I can still get around using english as opposed to attempting to learn thiers. See you in June,2007!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, what made me participate again for the second time (I added my first comment to this site last year on 3/3/2005) is when I saw the 2 wonderful pictures at the end of this Gallary which show the unity of all the Jordanians against terrorists and how much do we love our King, his Magesty King Abdullah The second, May Allah bless him. Thanks and I hope that you add to this website more wonderful pictures of Jordan in the near future. Omar Momani from the United Kingdom - England - Bristol.

Shukran, Mansour, for the beautiful pictures of Jordan. I visited Amman for a week in Sept 2005. After spending many hours looking at your photo galleries, I felt like I had been to Jordan before my actual visit. There was a comforting familiarity in my visit. My husband, who is currently in Baghdad, has asked if I wanted to move to Amman. I would like that very much; however, I would not want to live there alone, not knowing my way around the country. After visiting and interacting with the people, I know why my husband wants to live in Jordan. We stayed at the Sheraton in Amman, as you suggested in our emails back and forth to each other. It is a beautiful hotel; the staff is friendly and helpful. My thanks again for sharing your photos with us. Mona

Mansour thank you so much for the pics To all Jordanians living over seas this quite a strong reminder of back "home" Appreciate all the effort, and i have sent this link along to all the people at work over here (Sydney, Australia) to get them to see what Jordan is really like and not just some desert with camels liying around (funny since everybody thinks it is the same in Auss with Kangaroos) Again Cheers for that Ra'ed

I forgot to say that of course - I visited Jordan in September 2003 before I moved to the US and it the most wonderful time in my life.

Daniela 04-Aug-2005 05:11
I am German and I lived in Germany all my life long. 4 years ago I met my friend Marwan online and he got me interested in Jordan. I have several books about Jordan, tourguide books and also a book from her Majesty Queen Noor: Leap of Faith. Memoirs of an Unexpected Life. In February 2004 i moved to the United States and everyone would think I am homesick for Germany but I dont miss Germany, I miss Jordan. Thank you for putting these wonderful, wonderful photos in this gallerie. Jordan is just so beautiful.....I will be back my jordan.

Yanal El-Bdour 27-Jul-2005 13:42
Thanks sir for this great introduction about Jordan and it's great people and sites too and I really want to say good job man, I really miss home and your pics made me more home sick and I'm really proud that there are people who really care to show their home land this way specially these days when alot of people in western countries know nothing about us and only see us as a bunch of terrorists. thanks man

El HAWARI 27-Jul-2005 06:31
Dear SIR, Well I do not know what to say, indeed this AMMAN that I've been raised at, which I will love until death. thanks

Fahed Barakat 13-Jul-2005 19:19
Mansour, I would like to truly and utterly thank you for your extraordinary effort and I would like to warn viewers, this photogall is infections and addictive... u just can’t get enough The Pic’s are superb; they make me hate living in England You might want to consider a “Computer Background” section with few selected images in 1280x1024 or 1600x1280 to share your inspiration… Also maybe a Going Out Nightlife section with all the famous restaurants, Clubs and Cafés in Jordan…. Just something to think about Not to forget “Thanks for updating” and God Bless All

Guest 29-Jun-2005 18:50
Thank you for the beautiful pictures!! I will be visiting Amman for a week in September. Currently, I am searching the web for a hotel. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Also, which is the best way to travel in Amman: by taxi or rental car? Mona

I was in Jordan in 1977 on tour. Your pictures brought back many memories. We drove into the roman ruins right around sunset, I was brought to my knees by the color. You have captured that same color. I love all of the middle east and I pray daily for peace to come. God Bless You

Tareq Ghanem 18-May-2005 16:27
Absolutly brilliant. I am sitting in my office in New York with tears in my eyes. You took me on a mini-vacation and I thank you. You have captured the esseance of Amman. I cant wait to go back this August. Keep up the great work.

Dear Mansour, Amazing man. I am home sick just like everybody else and your pictures are just great. People keep asking me about Jordan and how Ammanis like and the problem is that you cannot give a perfect discribtion. Well, your pictures are...now I know the right link to give to eveyone. Keep it up buddy good job.

Barhoum Hannoun 18-Apr-2005 16:39
Mansour; From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you. My brother visited me last night and told me about your site; the first thing I did when I got to office is to login and see my lovely Amman and Jordan pictures. I loved the ones of the silver Jubilee; I was at high school at that time and I participated in the event at the Sports City. The Roman theature pictures reminded me with my childhood when I used to go with my friends and play over there. As my brother said in his comments, I want to come back Hooooome. From Chicago with love to each spot in Amman. I will show the pic's to my friends here so they can see what kind of modern city Amman is and how much of a history it contains.

IvO 16-Apr-2005 17:53

Hello Mansour,, As usual your photos are amazing... it is like taking a trip back home. When I miss the sunshine and the warmth, I just take a tour of your gallery and feel more homesick than ever! One comment though: how can you NOT have a mansaf photo!! Come on!!! It is what disgusts us but attracts us all ;-)) you know what I mean... it is the FIRST dish I ask for when I get home every year.... I am going to a conference next week and my paper includes something about Jordanian traditional hospitality, so I was searching your gallery for a mansaf photo and could not find one!

Liane Khoury 20-Mar-2005 17:33
Hey Mansour!! A friend of mine gave me this website.. what a coincidence!! I was feeling homesick and missing my family back home! And those pictures made my day!! Keep up the good work!! You're an awesome photographer!! God Bless, Liane

Dear Tabitha, Jordan will also be very proud to accommodate such a sensitive and inspiring person as yourself. Welcome home! Jordan is indeed a beautiful country.

TABITHA 06-Mar-2005 09:09
I THINK IT IS SUCH A SHAME THAT THERE IS SUCH A MISCONCEPTION THAT JORDAN IS A POOR, PITIFUL COUNTRY..THERE IS SOME POVERTY BUT YOU CAN FIND THAT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD...I AM FROM AMERICA & I THINK THAT JORDAN IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE THAT YOU COULD EVER FIND. I HOPE THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO SETTLE MYSELF HERE IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE I WILL BE VERY PROUD TO CALL JORDAN HOME.

Guest 04-Mar-2005 04:15

Like almost all who visited this site, I am nostalgic for those places and it does make me feel homesick when I see things through your lens. I also wanted to ask your permission to use some of these images in a presentation that I am giving at the Detroit Institute of Art, in Detroit, Michigan. I will certainly refer to you and your website as the source of those images. Please let me know if you prefer that I do not use the photos. Great work. Thanks for bringing Jordan to us :-))
