This is one of the most effective portrait in this gallery because your technique intensifies the message instead of calling attention to itself. When you use duotones, the sepia coloration must suggest meaning. And it does here. It gives her skin a soft bronze cast that helps tell us who she is. The high key lighting has removed virtually everything else, abstracting the image and stressing her complexion, which is the point of this picture.
