This is the site for the 1969 movie "Mackenna's Gold".
Motorcycles & cars are not allowed on the canyon floor. I met a couple with a 4X4, they hired a young Navajo guide, and invited me along.
All photos in this gallery are 35mm slides taken in 1969 with a Beseler Topcon Auto100 camera converted to digital images.
