The Kentucky Railroad Museum is in New Haven, KY and runs
frequent passenger trips with a diesel engine train, and occasional
runs with the steam engine shown here. It was designated the
official Kentucky steam engine by the state legislature. Built in
1905, it was restored in New Haven by many of the same men who work
as crew even now. We took a trip from New Haven to Boston (still in
Kentucky) and rode in the cab with five crewmen.
The diesel locomotive was operated by Engineer Karl Lusk.
