It's exactly a year since I last sat in my favourite coffee shop.
I used to meet two friends there every Wednesday for a morning coffee and catch up.
I was on holidays at the time but we all knew that it was only a matter of time before the government would announce a lockdown.
As it turned out, the Taoiseach (PM) announced it the following day during his St Patrick's Day visit to Washington DC.
What was initially announced as a lockdown to March 29 extended much beyond that.
We have been in lockdown again since the beginning of January.
It has worked in bringing down the number of new COVID-19 infections and reducing deaths, and the hope is that as the vaccine is rolled out, the economy can re-open.
As I'm on holidays again this year, I decided to pick up a takeaway coffee from the coffee shop to mark the anniversary of the last time I sat inside it.
At the moment, cafes and restaurants can only provide takeaway drinks and meals.
