At f/1.8 I'd be expecting a shallow DOF but in this case I suspect that you may also have done some post-production; it may be an optical illusion but it looks like some elements in the same plane are sharp and others out of focus. Whether that's the case or not the effect is quite interesting; parts of the flowers poking out sharply here and there through a soft background.
