It's been another cold, wet, miserable day, so I sought refuge and inspiration in St Peter's Church, Drogheda, during my lunch break.
The church, most famous for the shrine containing the head of St Oliver Plunkett, was built in the French Gothic style in 1884.
This fine rose window and organ are over the front door.

This is a beautifully symmetrical shot; I love the way the pipes are receding and then coming forward again to make a point. Nicely exposed and deliciously sharp considering that you probably weren't working with the best light possible.

Such lovely details here, with the organ pipes fitting the shape of the window.

Great colours and composition. The clock adds a nice ironic touch: even God is subject to time! V
