New Toy

Looking forward to using the old1.8 50mm lens from my OM 10 on my new OM-D EM5.
Just have to find my inner geek and figure out how to use.

Nikon D7000
1/50s f/9.0 at 60.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

The OM should be great on the EM5, first set the image stabilizer to 50mm in shooting menu 2 . then in "Gears" AF Mode, set the MF assist to ON. Now you can get some great shots by using the the focusing ring and f stops on the OM 50mm.

I like the presence of the out of focus camera and lens in this to provide a touch of additional context. Though at the risk of being excessively anthropomorphic, the lens that's attached at the moment seems a touch sad, almost as if it's thinking "But, but, what about me, I'm a good lens!"
Or maybe I just feel guilty about never using the E-P1 and the 14-42 any more...

I have more fun using my old OM lenses on my Panasonic GX7. I'm sure you will too!

Nice composition and DOF, and like the light as well. I'm sure you'll figure it out, and am looking forward to the pictures. V.

Nikon are good for making newer cameras that accept older lenses...hopefully Olympus are the same, or at least offer adaptors...a prime like this one should prove a good option..
