Colour on a Grey Day

The weather has turned overcast and humid so there wasn't much colour to be found yesterday, apart from this fabulous window box at Foley's Tearooms, Castlebellingham
where I stopped for lunch on my way back from covering court in Drogheda.
The tea rooms are in an 18th century thatched cottage and, while somewhat off the beaten track, are popular with visitors.

Pretty find, bursting with color.

Mmmmm, coffee and scones with strawberry jam and whipped cream. (Yes, I know it's supposed to be tea but I've never been a fan of tea.)
Time moves on inexorably and relentlessly, but if you leave aside the plastic planter box I can imagine a resident of the 18th century casting their eyes over this exact scene.

Colourful indeed!
