Rock of Cashel

On our way back from Cork, where my son had an interview for art college, we stopped off at the Rock of Cashel.
It really is most impressive, and, as it was out of season, there were few tourists around.
Once the seat of the kings of Munster, who then handed it over to the Church, it's situated on a rocky outcrop giving marvellous views of the surrounding countryside.
I've got so used to playing with apps on my phone, that I decided to process this using pic monkey for a change.

It is an impressive site. We enjoyed a trip here on our family holiday in Ireland in 2006.
