Autumn in the Park

Last autumn I went to St Helena's Park most Tuesday afternoons as I finish work early and took some photos as I waited to meet my son after school.
Now he's at a college on the other side of town, so I don't usually go to the park.
But I made a detour this afternoon as I wanted to catch some autumn colour before the leaves are all gone.

Good move. I know with autumn here, the leaves start to turn and you think "Oh, plenty of time..." and then they're gone. Conversely you think of catching the first buds of spring and by the time you do the leaves have already sprouted and you're left there muttering "what just happened?" I like the arrangement, particularly the large tree on the left and the more distant tree on the far right making not only a line leading through the shot, but also a frame.
