It's been another amazing March day with non-stop sunshine and temperatures in the high teens.
Took a detour up Dulargy after dropping my son to school this morning.
Although here's a great walk over the mountain, I contented myself to walking through the fields and taking some pics of the stunning views and some friendly sheep.
I do a good sheep imitation (maa-aaaaaaaaaa) which gets their attention most of the time.
I love it up there. A cousin of my father's used to live there and I remember visiting her as a child.
Although her house is now deserted, I can remember her cheery laugh and it seemed something of her good nature lives on in the flowers still blooming in the old cottage garden and the birds singing in the bushes.

So appealing. What an amazing effort it must have taken to build all those stone walls!

I like the lines leading off to the horizon courtesy of the stone fence on the right and the tree line on the left. And clearly from the two sub-shots the "baa" gets you attention but you may not want to know what the sheep are thinking!
There's one big difference between your corner of Ireland and my corner of Australia; around here a deserted cottage would be unthinkable. Ex-commercial buildings and shopfronts, sure; in some cases awaiting rezoning. But any spare residential real estate is normally snapped up very quickly. It's a different story in the rural regions, of course.

What a beautiful landscape, and love the sheep captures as well. You may have to do your sheep call when you come to Budapest ;-). V.

Fabulous landscape that seems to go on forever. Very pretty with the green grass, budding trees and blue sky. And I like the sheep too. V.

These are great views. I especially like the last flock of sheep with that great tree. The special call has got their attention.
