Summer Time

The clocks went forward today, marking the beginning of British Summer Time (even though we're in Ireland!).
And, as if on cue, the weather also seems a lot like summer, with sunshine, blue skies and warmth.
We took Fudge for a walk in Rockmarshall Forest this afternoon.
The local authority is due to make a decision on a planning application for a wind farm on the nearby mountain later this week.
Hopefully it won't be granted as it would most spoil this beautiful scenic area.

Fudge is looking impatient. No time for piccies, there are sniffs to be sniffed :0)
Amazing coincidence with summer arriving as the clocks changed. Same thing has happened here. I bet the sun goes away before the end of BST.

that`s a grand day in this lush place, and already some cheerful blossoms too...tricky issue wind farms...renewable energy is a laudable idea, but the visual blight is unfortunate..

Fudge is urging you to get a move on! Wonderful place to walk! :))

Lovely to see all the yellow (broom?) in flower, it really does look like spring!

It gets incredibly confusing. A few years the US moved their start time from the beginning of April to the beginning of March (actually that worked to my favour on a conference call earlier this month), you've gone now, we go next weekend. (49 hour weekend, yay!)

Mixed feelings about wind farms; I'd rather than than another coal fired station but I have to agree; having known the vista over Lake George near Canberra both before and after wind farms, the former is...was... much more aesthetic.

I like the line in this; the deep valley of trees leading on to Fudge and beyond.

It's looking beautiful your way. Hope that the forest can be saved.

Looks like a wonderful place to walk, and indeed, it looks like some of the areas around here. Wind farms are a big issue here, too. V
