The many things that work well about this shot:
- The sharpness, obviously;
- The angle between the warrior princess and her spear, giving some depth;
- Although a shallow DOF is used to pluck her out from the background there's enough detail left to make it look like an old style castle, which is very apt for the garb.
Her facial expression (around the mouth) probably isn't her most appealing but she has enough pulchritude to pull it off regardless.
