@exzim; I'm not an expert on the Irish defence Force much less its insignia (and I can't see the medallion part clearly) but from the ribbon it appears to be the 7 year service medal for the reserve forces. Don't ask me to type it out in its native language.
Re the photo: I like the capture of the focus on the faces, and the positioning of the two central figures giving some depth.
