It's turning into one of those Irish summers where there's no escaping the fact that we're a rain swept island on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It's not just fantasy but I know summers weren't this wet when I was a kid. I remember hot days and sunburn, playing in the fields and camping with friends. I remember summers when the tar melted on the road and we played out til late.
This year the weather is very 'unsettled' and the most we can hope for is a favourable ratio of sunshine to showers. Yesterday the showers won. I got soaked taking Fudge for a walk and when the rain finally stopped for a few minutes, there was nothing for it but to bump up the ISO and hope for the best
