Monument

Kelly's Monument stands in the centre of Dundalk,
commemorating the sacrifice of a brave lifeboat crew
who lost their lives in a fierce storm.
The inscription on one of the sides reads:
"In memory of Captain James Joseph Kelly, Gerald Hughes, James Corssy and
James Murphy who lost their lives in a noble and humane effort to rescue
the crew of the barque Mary Stoddard wrecked in Dundalk Bay on
the 9th of April 1858.'

Nothing in the world wants to kill you as badly as the ocean does, which is why I prefer to stay on land or in the air. Nice, subtle light on this helps to set a feeling.
