At the beach again

Sunday is becoming beach day. Fudge enjoys galloping at the beach so
much that I try to set aside some time every weekend to take him to the
beach.
Although there was some sunshine it was still very cold so we had
the beach to ourselves. After half an hour, my fingers were so cold
that I thought they would drop off! So, as the the sky at clouded
over, I abandoned all thoughts of heading off in search of a
landscape shot for the weekend challenge and went home for
a nice warm mug of tea.

It looks like a paradise for dogs and photographers to explore! Beautiful pastel colors and wonderfully interesting patterns and arrangements.

The down side of winter is... well, obviously the cold and the early sunsets. The upside is... the early sunsets, which make it easier to get that kind of light in the sky, and the nice, low angle of the light to accentuate the corrugations in the sand like that rather than having to wait until much later in the day.
