When I started this PAD I was quite obsessive about posting a freshly taken image each day. It didn't
matter if it wasn't a great image or that there wasn't a story behind it, the important thing was it
was taken that day.
Now I've decided to give myself a break and take a more relaxed approach, especially in the
dark months of winter.
Took this photo on Monday evening, just as the sun was sinking. I'd gone up the mountain
to Dulargy in search of old gates for the monthly challenge. A narrow country lane leads
to a cluster of old farmsteams, mostly long abandoned. There are beautiful views across
to Dundalk Bay and I find it wonderfully peaceful. I also have happy memories of visiting
relatives of my father who lived in a little cottage. Sadly, it too is now derelict, but I can
still remember Bridget's cheerful laugh ringing out in the small kitchen with its old
range, dresser and chaise lounge.
