I don't do New Year resolutions. And I have mixed feelings about the sentimentality associated with New Year's Eve . I can understand the temptation to look back, to take stock and to start afresh with a clean slate. For many people in Ireland and elsewhere, 2010 is a year that is best forgotten for the dark shadows cast by the economic recession. But I prefer to rembember the good times, the simple pleasures shared with family and friends.
