A festive shop window in Carlingford, Co Louth.
The dire state of the economy and an exceptional
bout of arctic weather has deprived traders of
the usual Christmas shopping bonanza as
shoppers stay at home.
But the shopkeepers seem to be trying hard to entice customers. Hard though, if money is tight. Yet this wonderful and very creative window would surely make anyone feel happy.

A lovely window....we don't have the snow so folks are cramming into the stores here. Very, very nice find. Looks like you could get a lot of shopping done with no one around!
A beautiful window. It reminds me of how our downtown used to look when I was child. Now that the big shopping malls are here, downtown is a shell of it's former self. ~V
Looks like a very inviting store Mairead!! Wonderful image! V
I am noticing that American's are also cutting back on their Christmas shopping too. The stores and parking lots have been empty.
