Snow Fun

We've had the most snow in years and the forecast is for more to come.
These young Chinese people, most likely students at the local Institute
of Technology, were enjoying the snow and suddenly started to pose
for me when I was grabbing a quick pic while out on the morning
coffee run - a double expresso for the editor and a latte for me.
It was frustrating being at work, knowing that a winter wonderland
was waiting to be photographed. Instead of being in the countryside
taking photos, I was sitting behind a computer, writing about
the hardship which the bad weather brings to farmers and motorists
and the unexpected joy it brought to local children as most schools
were closed and more will be closed tomorrow.

It looks like they're having fun and you picked a great moment to capture it.
Having lived in Sweden, Canada, Germany, Northern England and various very cold places in the U.S. I do not miss snow and cold at all.

A wonderfully cheery shot. Everyone loves the early snowfalls.

It's always good to get some willing participants in a photo; even better when they can do it in a completely unselfconscious fashion like here. It makes for a fun scene to lighten the darker side of the snow that you've alluded to.

Great candid of the students making the most of the snow, so good that they posed for you as well.

They seem to be really enjoying their moment of fame...it's not fair is it, if children has to stay home their
mothers shouldn't have to work :O) V

This is a wonderful, joyous shot. It reminds us of how we love snow when we are young, but complain about it when older :-)

I think we all become a kid again when it snows. There's just something magical about snow. Excellent capture of these students enjoying the white stuff. ~V~

Great snow scene, the figures show nicely against the lovely blanket of white.

I am glad to see it - that constitutes enough snow to register on my snowometer of happiness. Now you know how I feel when sitting in the office looking out..

Looks like they're having fun all right...I wonder what they made of a snowy Ireland?

Wow - you have snow and we had sunshine and 49F (~10C) today! I remember back when I was a freshman in high school and we had an exchange student from South America who was so excited when she went outside to experience her first snow!
