Dusting

There's a dusting of snow on the hills and a promise of more to come.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll wake up to a white landscape
tomorrow and that it will be all gone by the time I have to go back
to work tomorrow.

Such beautiful scenery Mairead! Bet the sheep are happy to be wearing their wool sweaters! :)

We had a couple of inches overnight and a bit more today, nicely composed with the sheep.

Very nicely framed scene with the foreground branches, and the hills in the background providing a fine depth to the image.

soon it will be difficult to spot the sheep...strong comp of a scene that looks as bleak as the financial forecast...V

Easy to complain about but I would miss it a lot if I had to move south. It's so pretty up there in the hills.

Beautiful countryside where you are...pastoral and peaceful. V

You probably want snow on just Christmas Eve and Day too and then it can be gone - LOL :-)

And another winter has passed here, and STILL I have yet to encounter snow on an up close and personal basis. Closest I've come is seeing it on the hills around Canberra once.
A nice rustic wintry scene, well framed by the overhanging branches. Is the sheep on the right giving you a "Can I stay at your place tonight?" look?

That looks cold even without the snow...how on earth do sheep keep warm??
Carl Carbone26-Nov-2010 22:46
Nicely composed! We're getting our first snow today too.

You can have some or ours! And we don´t want it back, there´s more coming as I type this.
And the temperature was -11C when I checked. Gonna be a long and cold winter!
I just love it (if I don´t slip and break something more)

The sheep are looking forward to it too.

Colder when like this I imagine...makes a pretty scene!
