Took today off as I was still feeling under the weather. Last week's cold had, with boring predictability, turned
into a sinus infection. A late night marking on Wednesday left me feeling miserable yesterday so I went to my
GP, got some antibiotics, and decided to look after myself. After a lie-in this morning, followed by breakfast in bed
and a perusal of some photography books, I felt well enough to venture into the garden with Fudge as the late
afternoon sun made a welcome appearance. And although this was probably more a 'duvet' day than a 'sick' day
I wanted to make sure I'd be better for next week as a colleague will be on holidays, and as there's only three of
us in the newsroom, I didn't want to leave my remaining colleague in the lurch.
