After The Deluge

This is for illustration purposes only as it was taken quickly when I was
walking Fudge this morning.
After yesterday's deluge, which caused some serious flooding in town, I'd
never seen so much water in the fields near home. The seagulls had moved
inland to take advantage of the newly formed lakes but quickly flew
away when we appeared.

Beautiful capture Mairead. It has been pretty dry here but is raining a little today.

The absence of very much in the foreground helps draw the eye allllll the way back into the shot. I didn't notice the gulls at fist until I looked all the way back into the trees.

That looks like a lot of rain, great with the gulls flying off.

Wow, you got a lot of rain! Ugh! We are getting a tropical storm and a ton of rain right now, too. Too bad we can send some to Australia and Africa.

Flooding in Australia too...of course most of the towns haven't seen rain for 12 years, let alone enough to wet the ground up to the picture rail inside the house :(
Actually the colours look a bit Aussie here, Mairead :)

Looks like you have the makings of a turlough there.
