Memories of Summers Past

For the past three years Sean's little cousin came to stay on holidays
from England. Growing up in a city far from the sea, she is fascinated
with the beach and the highlight of her holiday was fishing in the
rock pools at Gyle's Quay and Shellinghill.
Sadly she won't be coming this year even though we've kept
her nets.
A busy weekend so just played around with the built-in art filters

A lovely simple, but colourful, and very effective image. Memories of times past. V

The vignette certainly adds to the "days of yore" feel here. Not bad for an in-camera filter and worth playing with, though I think in day to day use I'd normally skip that and stick to using PhotoShop. The advantage with PS is that you could take the transparency of the vignette down a few percent so that it's a fade out rather than a transition to total black, which I imagine the EP-1 is doing by just ignoring the exposure of those pixels.

I'm fond of vignette and this is a nice photo using that technique. Love the simple colors too. V
