This is Pete, our PT Cruiser. It is my dream car as I wanted one, ever since I saw
a black one parked near the Eiffel Tower in Paris about ten years ago,
when I thought it was an old hotrod being used for a movie.
Then, a couple of years ago when we were changing our car, our
car mad son began looking at different car sales sites and making
impractical suggestions like 'Why don't we buy an old Porsche?'
I began looking too and discovered that PT Cruisers weren't as
expensive as I had imagined and so we bought Pete, a 2003
Touring model. Although PT Cruisers are very popular in American
and mainland Europe, they are most unusual in Ireland so it's
fun to drive a car which turns heads.
